Img2Wav would surely win the prize for the most extravagant program, as it is an application that converts images to music. You can listen to a photo!

Img2Wav has been created for you to convert a JPEG image into a WAV sound. It seems impossible, but it can be done because each pixel in a JPEG image is made of 24 bits, and each web colour (green, blue and red) are stored in 8 bits, with a minimum value of 256. The converted sounds are very short, because you need 44100 sound samples for each sound.

So, for example, an image of 269x219 would give one second of sound. In summary a strange program and not very practical but enough to satisfy the curious.
